The raw material, clay known as “clay” is found in the subsoil of the Haguenau forest. It is directly usable. His presence ensured the development of this craft. The quality of Soufflenheim clay has long been recognized for its culinary and refractory characteristics. This exceptional clay, ideal for cooking dishes, easily withstands high temperatures. We respect this tradition. HOW TO RECOGNIZE SOUFFLENHEIM CLAY The color of the fired clay is yellow (orange shade). It may have slight surface irregularities. Unglazed parts may be rough.
